REGISTRATION FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER OF 2011/2012 ACADEMIC YEAR |
To continue study all students are obliged to register for the spring semester at the Faculty Student Registrar after
a potential previous change in courses or time schedule in IS KOS.
Options in changing the preset recommended study plan by adding or cancelling courses, personal time scheduling
option in IS KOS.
- Students after the first semester of Bachelor degree study
- Students after the first semester of Master degree study
Access to KOS for course registration: 20. 1. 2012 from 12.00 p.m.

For students after 1st semester of Bachelor degree study the minimum number of credit units necessary for continuing study: 15
For students after 1st semester of Master degree study the minimum number of credit units necessary for continuing study: 20
- Students in higher years of Bachelor degree study
- Students in higher years of Master degree study
Access to KOS for course registration: 23. 1. 2012 from 9.00 a.m.

Despite distributed access to IS KOS please be aware of potential overloading of the system at the start of registration.

Registration for physical education lessons: Students enter the respective course code in KOS and their student
report book, successively from 1.2.2012 they must choose a sport and specific instruction hours at
www.utvs.cvut.cz. (in Czech)
Important notice!
- At the start of registration in IS KOS all students have a preset time schedule of compulsory courses in keeping with the
prescribed study plan.
- After the expiry of 14 days from the first student´s entry in the time schedule the personal time schedule set up
by the student is automatically cancelled if the student fails to register in person at the Faculty Student Registrar. In that
case, the student must reregister for the remaining vacancies in the timer schedule. (For an example of time schedule expiry
see Note below.)
- Until registration at the Student Registrar the student has a 14-day period when they can cancel previously registered courses
or register for new courses if there is enough course capacity. After registration at the Student Registrar only the Student
Registrar can cancel a registered course/enter a new course in the time schedule.
- The student has an option of making their own modifications of the time schedule of courses registered in KOS even after registration
at the Student Registrar - by the end of the 2nd week of the semester, i.e. by 24. 2. 2012 11.00 a.m.
- If a student is unable to register for any course in the time schedule for capacity reasons, they must in any case register
for the course in IS KOS in general without a specified group and time. After regular registration has ended (10.2.)
the time schedule capacity will be adjusted and the student shall register for the course in the time schedule during the period
of changes in registration.
Note: For registration at the Student Registrar there are 14 full days available starting on the day following
the first entry in the time schedule. If e.g. a student prepares their course registration on 1.9., they may change the registration
during another 14 days (i.e. 1.9.-15.9. including); registration at the Student Registrar must be made no later than on 15.9.
If a student receives an automatic e-mail from KOS - e.g.: "on 14.9. you have one more day left before your time schedule expires" -
it means that the student has the last chance to register at the Student registrar in person on 15.9. without the cancellation of the prepared
time schedule, the time schedule is cancelled in the night of 15./16.9.
By the student personal registration for the next semester at the Student Registrar the registration for courses in IS KOS is completed.

At registration students are obliged to present their duly filled in student record book and identity card.
If a student fails to register at the Student Registrar in person before the expiry of the regular registration date of 10.2.2012,
all student´s preset courses (i.e. all time schedule) in IS KOS will be cancelled. The aim of this measure is to open preset
and successively unoccupied places in the time schedule for other students.
If a student fails to register for the respective semester within the specified term and fails to apologize in writing giving
a reason within five days from this day, this act is considered non-fulfilment of requirements resulting from the study programme
and the student´s study is terminated.

Potential student´s registration for the spring semester after 10.2. is liable to a charge of Kč 500,- (Rector´s Order 3/2011).
Registration for course BAP(A) Bachelor thesis runs free of charge still during the first week of instruction (until 17.2.),
as credit units necessary for the Bachelor thesis registration may be obtained until the end of the exam session, i.e. by 10. 2. 2012
(last registration day).
Registration for all the other courses after 10.2. i.e. during the first 14 days of instruction and registration for the Bachelor thesis
in the second week of instruction is liable to a charge pursuant to the Rector´s Order No. 3/2011 (60,- Kč per course).
An option of making own changes in the time schedule of registered courses via IS KOS. Adding or cancelling a course via the Faculty
Student Registrar liable to a charge.

- at Faculty Student Registrar:
- in regular office hours which are extended in the 1st week, i.e. in the period from 13.2. to 17.2.2012 by Tue and Thu
morning 8.30 - 11.00 a.m.
- in IS KOS:
- 13.2.2012 from 7.00 a.m. - 24.2.2012 to 11.00 a.m.
After the expiry of the 2nd week of instruction in the spring semester, i.e. from 24.2.2012 11.00 a.m., all registered
courses become binding regardless of the fact whether a student is or is not registered in their time schedule.
Any potential addition or cancellation of a course as part of changes in registration is liable to a charge of Kč 60,- per course pursuant
to the Rector´s Order No. 3/2011.
If a student requests a change in the registration of an optional course whose schedule was announced by the department only after
10th February 2012 and this new schedule collides with courses already registered by the student, the student´s charge for
the cancellation/adding of the course will be waived. In such cases, the student collects a form for the charge waiver from the Student
Registrar and the department confirms the later announcement of the course schedule on it.

Students in the 4th year of Bachelor degree study programmes who register for course BAP (BAPA for branch A)
in the spring semester, submit the following at registration at the Student Registrar:
- Application for Bachelor´s thesis (for form see FCE website) signed by the respective Department (without any enclosures,
the certificate of passing a professional practicum and report on the practicum are departmental documents for granting a credit
for BAP and are not submitted to the Student Registrar). For information on registration for BAP see

Information for students paying a fee for studies:
The proof of the fee payment must be submitted to the Faculty Student Registrar at registration for the spring semester. The proof
is a postal order receipt or a certificate from a financial institution with a stamp and signature certifying a completed
transfer of the prescribed amount to the Faculty account. The "payment order" is not considered a proof of payment.
