Print version

Studying at the FCE The Faculty of Civil Engineering is located exclusively inside the main university campus and occupies a complex of buildings together with the Faculty of Architecture. All teaching rooms are placed in close connection to departments. Students have access to a separate library which offers books on engineering, and special textbooks written for instruction purposes. The library's resources are accessible through an information computer system.
The Faculty also has self-study facilities, such as the reading room of engineering and technical journals.

Students can use altogether 320 computers placed in computer labs to make calculations and work on their design projects. Besides, the school has a computerized language lab. Another 50 computers are available in departments. These run specialized software which is utilized in mandatory and elective courses, as well as in research. Moreover, the new Computer Centre, which is open 24 hours a day, has been introduced recently. Students of the FCE get free and easy access to the Internet and they are automatically provided with an e-mail address. See more ...

A number of engineering courses are taught in experimental labs which are also located in the same complex of buildings. Here, students work independently to make and evaluate tests and perform other practical tasks.
Students can buy stationary in a school shop, they have access to two copying centres, a cafeteria, and a fitness room. There are two tennis courts adjacent to the Faculty building complex, which are accessible to students.
