Documents Required for Admission

 

  • Validation of previous university education - Nostrification
  • curriculum vitae (signed by candidate´s own hand)
  • study results during university study (Bachelor´s and Master´s degree)
  • copies of certificates of education (certified copy of the diploma granting a degree in Master´s degree study – no later than within 5 days after the graduation ceremony, the copy can be certified against the original by an authorized staff member during registration), potential other documents certifying passed examinations (in a selected branch, in foreign languages), students of the last year at university shall submit the above certificates after the graduation ceremony. The Candidates who completed previous education in a country other than the Czech Republic or Slovak Republic must submit a certificate of their diploma validation together with the application form.
  • list of candidate´s published and unpublished works and other activities
  • recommendation (evaluation) by two experts in the field, one of whom, at least, must be a university teacher. The recommendations must be confidential, i.e. in a sealed envelope.
  • proof of payment of the administration fee covering expenses related to the admission proceedings
  • one of the certificates below proving passing an examination in Czech language - refers to foreign citizens (excluding candidates from the Slovak Republic) applying for study in Czech:
    • certificate of completion of a Master´s degree study programme taught in Czech
    • certificate of passing the school-leaving examination or state examination in Czech,
    • certificate of passing an examination in Czech language at min. a B2 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages"
      - at the Department of Languages FCE - Certified examination in Czech language for study at university
      - or at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies Charles University.
  • one of the following certificates proving passing an examination in English language - refers to candidates for study in English:
    • certificate of passing a Master´s degree study programme taught in English
    • certificate of passing the school-leaving examination or state examination in English
    • certificate of passing an examination in English language at min. a B2 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" at the Department of Languages FCE CTU or at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies Charles University.
