Important notice:

  1. At the start of registration in IS KOS all students have a preset composition and time schedule of courses reserved in keeping with the prescribed study plan.

  2. After the expiry of 10 days from the first student´s entry in the time schedule the personal time schedule set up by the student is automatically cancelled if the student fails to register in person at the Faculty Student Registrar (registration completion). In that case, the student must reregister for the remaining vacancies in the time schedule. In other words: There are 10 full calendar days available for registration at the Student Registrar starting on the day following the first entry in the time schedule before the time schedule is cancelled. Example: If a student changes their time schedule on the first day, i.e. 23.8., they may complete the registration in person without the time schedule cancellation no later than by Friday 2.9.
If a student receives an automatic e-mail from KOS saying e.g. your time table expires on 5.9., he/she has the last chance to register at the Student Registrar in person without the cancellation of the prepared time schedule on 5.9. The time schedule is cancelled in the night of 5.9./6.9.

  3. Until registration at the Student Registrar the student can change the preset composition of courses on their own (cancel previously registered courses or register for new courses if there is enough course capacity). After registration at the Student Registrar only the Student Registrar can cancel a registered course/enter a new course in the time schedule.

  4. The student has an option of making their own modifications of the time schedule of courses registered in KOS even after registration at the Student Registrar - by the end of the 2nd week of the semester, i.e. by 30.9.2011 11.00 a.m.

  5. If a student is unable to register for any course in the time schedule for capacity reasons, they must in any case register for the course in IS KOS in general without a specified group and time. After regular registration has ended (13.9.) the time schedule capacity will be adjusted and the student shall register for the course in the time schedule during the period of changes in registration.

Note:

  1. We hereby ask students to have in their own interest their registration for courses completed at the Student Registrar only after they have thoroughly considered whether they have entered all required courses in IS KOS. Repeated visits to the Student Registrar unnecessarily prolong the waiting time at the counters. It is also advisable to have all changes in registration confirmed at once during the time of changes in registration.

  2. Information for students paying a fee for studies:
The proof of the fee payment must be submitted to the Faculty Student Registrar at registration for the winter semester. The proof is a postal order receipt or a certificate from a financial institution with a stamp and signature certifying a completed transfer of the prescribed amount to the Faculty account. The "payment order", for example, is not considered a proof of payment.

  3. On 6th - 8th September 2011 and on 12th September 2011 graduation ceremonies of the FCE graduates are held in the Bethlehem Chapel. For this reason, some counters at the Student Registrar will be closed, but registration can be completed at the other counters of the Student Registrar at this time. More detailed information will be put up on notice boards of respective branches.
