Examples of timber structures and bridges. Structural systems and details. Recommended design.
Obsah 
The course is focused on basic rules for mechanical resistance, serviceability, durability of timber structures made by timber based members in normal temperature and in fire.

1. Timber based structures - general - types, properties, fabrication.
2. I - Beams made of timber based components.
3. I - Beams for floors.
4. Glue laminated timber beams made of two grade components.
5. Timber based walls.
6. Shear resistance of composite panels.
7. Durability, water and fire protection.
8. Cross laminated timber panels.
9. Connections.
10. Construction rules for plate structures in buildings.
11. Timber based materials for glue-laminated timber beams improvement.
12. Illustrations of existing structures.
13. Construction site excursion.
