III Registration for follow-up courses in IS KOS
Characteristics of a follow-up course: some courses of the study plan (course xxx2) follow up the knowledge of another course (course xxx1).The linkage of individual follow-up courses is listed in the study plans on the website and in the student´s IS KOS.
Rules for registration for follow-up courses xxx2:
1 Follow-up courses are not preset to students for the respective semester by the Faculty, if they have not completed the previous course xxx1 by the date of presetting the courses.
2 If this happens, the student will individually enter course xxx2 in IS KOS for the respective semester, including its time schedule, on their own.
3 The condition for the registration of course xxx2 is either a) previous completion of course xxx1, or b) simultaneous registration for course xxx2 and course xxx1.
The examination in course xxx1 must be passed at least one day before passing the examination in course xxx2.
This means that if a student has not passed the examination in course xxx1, they cannot take the examination in course xxx2 either.
IV Other important information
Gradual enabling access to the time schedule
Access to the time schedule will be enabled to students gradually in waves, i.e. always to a group of students with the highest value of the weighted number of credit points
gained for the previous two semesters.
During processing, IS KOS automatically evaluates the weighted number of credit points for all students who have not been enabled access to the time schedule so far, and opens
access to the time schedule to the following group of students.
The first group with the highest value of the weighted number of credit points will be enabled access to the time schedule on Monday 22. 8. after 16.00, and the calculation
for the next group will always run the following day from 3.00 a.m. All students who have been newly enabled access to the time schedule by the respective afternoon or night
data processing are immediately sent a notification e-mail, i.e. these students already have access to time scheduling available at the moment of receiving the e-mail.
Access will be broken up into 5 waves running from 22. 8. to 26. 8. From Saturday 27. 8., access to the time schedule will be enabled to all students who have complied with
the conditions for registration for the next semester.
The weighted number of credit points for each individual student is calculated as the sum of values (4-GRADE)*CREDIT POINTS for all successfully completed courses
(A=1 B=1.5 C=2 D=2.5 E=3 F=4, a credit is entered as 3, courses recognized from previous studies are not evaluated).
Up-to-date information on students´ access to IS KOS is published on the Faculty Computing and Information Centre´s website,
