Thematic areas of FGE
Master programme Water and Environmental Engineering

The final graduation examination (FGE) in the Master’s degree study programme Water and Environmental Engineering (WEE) consists of two parts, each of which is classified separately:

  • The defence of a Diploma Thesis,
  • The oral examination in a thematic area.

The thematic area for WEE is composed of two parts. One part is common for all three specializations (tracks) of the study programme, and the other part is track-specific:

  • The common part is based on the common-core courses 141HACE, 141HYLE, 144WAQE, 101MPSE, 141FPSM, 143WRME,
  • The track-specific part is based on track compulsory courses of a particular track.

For the Hydraulic Engineering track
the track-specific part is based on the courses 141FPSM, 142IWWS, 142DEE, 142HNME.

For the Water Management track
the track-specific part is based on the courses 143WRME, 144URDR, 144DWE, 144WWWT.

For the Environmental Engineering and Science track
the track-specific part is based on the courses 143VZHE, 143EMAM, 143SLWM, 143SCRT.

During the oral examination, a student will answer two questions: one on the common part and the other on the track-specific part of the thematic area for the Master programme Water and Environmental Engineering. The questions will target specific topics listed in the attached document.
