The aim of the  bachelor study programme in Civil Engineering is to raise experts in the wide-ranging field of civil engineering for construction practice.

Structure of study

The first two years of the four-year Bachelor degree programme offer, for the most part, fundamental sciences and basic professional courses. More specialised courses and design projects are included in the plan of the second half of the Bachelor degree programme, where some of the courses are selected by the students themselves based on their professional focus. Students can also enrol in other elective courses from the faculty-wide offer of specialized subjects, foreign language training, etc. The study is completed by the final project – Bachelor´s thesis defended in the 8th semester of study.

Great possibilities

The study programme provides an excellent theoretical and practical civil engineering background. The graduates will easily become chartered engineers or technicians or continue in a follow-up Master degree study.

Choose a specialization for your final project

A possible selection from elective courses in the last three semesters and from the topics offered for the Bachelor Final Project allows students to specialise in the field they like the most.

Career prospects

The graduates of the Civil Engineering programme will be employed primarily as:

  • designers of building structures
  • designers in building services engineering
  • concrete, steel, timber and masonry structural designers
  • construction managers
  • in the development and testing of building materials

The programme is organised to prepare the graduates to eventually become members of the Czech Chamber of Chartered Engineers and Technicians.

Completion and follow-up studies

The study is completed by a Bachelor final project. By its defence and passing the final graduation examination, the graduates will be awarded the Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Bc.).

Civil Engineering

The study branch aims to raise engineers fully qualified of complex design of buildings with main focus on load-bearing structures, construction of foundations, numerical analysis and structural dynamics.

Stavební inženýrství - pozemní stavby

Prohloubení znalostí v oblasti navrhování nosných konstrukcí pozemních staveb včetně zakládání, doplnění o partie z numerické analýzy a dynamiky konstrukcí, experimentální analýzy a diagnostiky.

Stavební inženýrství - materiály a diagnostika staveb

Prohloubení znalostí v oblasti vývoje a testování stavebních materiálů, technologie výroby, experimentální analýzy, zkušebnictví a kontroly jakosti.

Inteligentní budovy

Rozšíření vzdělání v oblasti návrhu, realizace a řízení moderních budov a prvků pro inteligentní budovy.

Budovy a prostředí

Program zaměřený na  prohloubení znalostí v oboru technických zařízení budov a stavební fyziky  v energeticky efektivních chytrých  budovách s kvalitním vnitřním prostředím s ohledem na životní prostředí a životní cyklus budov.

Stavební inženýrství – řízení projektů

Doplnění technického vzdělání o znalost řízení projektů i stavebních podniků, inženýringu, přípravy a oceňování staveb, BIM.
