All information concerning the admission procedure can be found in the Dean’s Decree on the Conditions for Admission to Study and the Dean’s Directive. These are the two most important documents that summarize the conditions and procedure for admission to doctoral study programs at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague.

The basic requirements for admission to doctoral studies are:

a)

Achieving a university degree in a master’s degree program.

b)

Submission of a duly completed application within the specified deadline in the prescribed manner and with all requisites (including the annexes specified in the application). The dates will be published on the official notice board of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and on the website of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

c)

Delivery of a certified copy of the diploma of successful completion of the master’s study (a copy may be verified according to the original by an authorized official at enrollment); if the education was obtained in a country other than the Czech Republic or the Slovak Republic, it is a condition to submit a certificate of diploma nostrification together with the application. This requirement for the delivery of a certified copy of the diploma does not apply to graduates of master’s studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

d)

In the case of foreigners (except citizens of the Slovak Republic) applying for study in a study program in the Czech language, proof of readiness to study in the Czech language in one of the ways specified in the Dean’s Directive.

e)

In the case of applicants for study in an English language study program, proof of readiness to study in English in one of the ways specified in the Dean’s Directive.

f)

Payment of the fee for acts connected with the admission procedure

The fee for acts connected with the admission procedure is CZK 850.

g)

Successful completion of the admission procedure. The admission procedure is based on the assessment of the submitted materials by the examination commission. The Commission may invite candidates for an interview during the recruitment procedure.
