A reinforced concrete replica of the upper part of a plated bell type AJ-S-D was created as part of a complex rehabilitation process, developed for the overall reconstruction of reinforced concrete infantry cabins of Czechoslovak fortifications from the years 1935-38. The replica was experimentally installed in the T-S 20 fortress in Červený Kostelec in October 2019. The technical solution is affordable for the owners of fortification structures and, at the same time, ensures the authentic design of the plated bell from both the outside and the inside, as well as high durability and a potential installation of the original weapons. The research of experts from the Department of Architectural Engineering and the Experimental Centre is being conducted with support from the NAKI II – DG18P02OVV063 Project of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, “Development of a Progressive Rehabilitation Process for the Restoration and Conservation of Military Fortifications from the 1930s”.
