Web Application “Technical Heritage on the Elbe-Vltava Waterway“

The web application Technical Heritage on the Elbe-Vltava Waterway  https://www.lvvc.cz/ is the output of the project “Documentation and Presentation of Technical Cultural Heritage on the Elbe-Vltava Waterway”  – led by doc. Pavel Fošumpaur at the Department of Hydraulic Structures  – as part of the NAKI II – DG18P02OVV004 Project funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. A number of historical documents, maps and drawings were digitized during its preparation, and the application presents a comprehensive documentation of both the history and present day state of this unique waterway. The application is available to the general public, has a glossary of technical terms, an index of outstanding personalities and provides tips on tourist attractions situated around the rivers.
