The application form is submitted electronically at: prihlaska.cvut.cz in the period from 1. 1. to 31. 3. 2026.
We offer one study programme taught in English. To be admitted to study, you must supply a document certifying the passing of the school-leaving examination in English, or a certificate of passing an examination in English at minimally a B2 level according to the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages” (CEFR) or certificate of secondary education completion stating that instruction at the secondary school was fully in English..
The other seven study programmes offered are taught in Czech. In the case of foreign citizens (excluding the citizens of the Slovak Republic and foreign applicants who have completed secondary school education in the Czech Republic), a certificate of passing an examination in Czech must be supplied.
If you submit more than one application, you will take the mathematics entrance exam only once. You will also see the date of the entrance exam only for one of your electronic applications at www.prihlaska.cvut.cz
A fee 950 CZK is payable for each application.
If you submit one application for a Czech-taught program and one for an English-taught program, you will be required to take the mathematics entrance exam twice: once in Czech and once in English.
If you are studying or have studied at a secondary school abroad (except for the Slovak Republic), it is necessary to supply an authenticated copy of a certificate of validation or a decision on the recognition of a foreign educational certificate (nostrification), including the enclosure to the decision – nostrification clause. All documents must be uploaded to the electronic application by means of an authorised conversion of the paper document into electronic form or fitted with a valid electronic signature of the issuing institution. For the Civil Engineering study programme taught in English, it is not possible to waive the entrance examination in Mathematics.
For the other bachelors programmes is possilble, but this only applies to students from Czech or Slovak secondary schools. Waiver is based on the average based on the average of the marks in the subject of Mathematics at secondary school, or based on the mark for the school-leaving examination in Mathematics.

The waiver only applies to this year’s and last year’s secondary school leavers (Czech or Slovak) who have not yet studied at the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU.

The study programme of Architecture and Building Sciences is conditioned on passing the entrance examination in Architecture (which cannot be waived, all applicants must take it) and the entrance examination in Mathematics (which can be waived, see the question above).
The examination in Architecture is an interview conducted by the Board of Examiners with the applicant. The basic content of the interview is a discussion over the motivation sheet which the applicant presents in the introduction.
The questions that you can expect to be asked are, for example: What architect has impressed you and why? What is your opinion on the architecture in your town?

Four artworks are supplied for the entrance examination in Architecture:
At their discretion, the applicants may also bring other background materials to manifest their interest in Architecture and Building Sciences (mainly awards for secondary school research activities, certificates of participation in student competitions, seminar projects, studio projects, etc.).
All artworks must be created exclusively by the applicant. If the Board of Examiners finds out that the candidate has repeatedly submitted identical graphic works in the admissions proceedings, their point evaluation will be reduced.

The video must be submitted by 14. 5. 2026. You upload the video to one of the allowed repositories and put the link to the video in Word and upload the Word to the electronic application (in the “Files uploaded to the single application” section). In the video, the student is expected to present his/her interest in the programme in an original way. The video is not intended to present scenic technology! It is not expected that video sequences by artists other than the applicant will be used in the video. It is a personal, individual presentation of the applicant’s interest in the program, ideas about his/her future career, approach to technology, and the world of live art in general.
The video will be evaluated by a three-person committee, which may award a maximum of 10 points for the video:
1 point for submitting the work
0-3 points for demonstrating an interest in scenic technologies
0-3 points for the technical and artistic design of the video
minus 3 points for exceeding the maximum video length
None of the above types of study is possible in any study programme.
Only a full-time type of study is possible.
